A father and son both make the same trip to LA twenty years apart in this loose adaptation of the Two Hussars by Leo Tolstoy (who gets a credit as a screenwriter).
Jack Hussar is big time director, played by Danny Huston (The Proposition), seeking funding for his latest project. He stomps around LA causing fights, blowing smoke into the faces of financiers and genuinely making a bastard of himself, without losing the respect of those around him.
